New fence

The first project of our backyard remodel was the fence. Our summers are super busy so projects take a really long time FOREVER. Dave did a great job on the fence, it looks great! Thank you Sean and Jesse for your help. You're the best!

We had to stain the fence boards before we put them up since the fence was tight up against the arborvitaes. I didn't want to cut the down as they are huge and provide a great sound buffer, shade and are a graffiti deterrent. Dave reluctantly agreed to work around them. 

We added 3 feet of depth to our yard and pushed it up another 15 feet in the front. Giving us more room for the play structure and area for a garden next year. 

Tree stumps be gone!

This machine made quick work on the tree stumps. He was all done in about 30 minutes. 

I had to remove a panel from the fence to get the machine through. Just a few quick cuts with the sawzall and down it came.

Ta da! 

The cruddy part is the barkdust that was left behind. It sticks to the dogs tails and they bring it inside with them. LOTS of vacuuming! 

Weekend in Florence

Our weekend started off great. Grammy and Grandpa Dan had the girls, the weather was perfect. Sunny and 75 degrees. The condo we rented was nice with an excellent view of the bay. Good company with our favorite riding partner Jack. The dunes were basically empty on Thursday and Friday, hardly another rider around. We had a delicious dinner and excellent conversation sitting at the bar in this tiny restaurant downtown. 

And then we wake up Saturday morning to this..........

Jack's rear passenger window on his truck is smashed with our gear bag, Dave's tool box and the Yamaha stolen. 

Yes, we called the police and reported it. 

No, we didn't have theft insurance (only medical coverage).
