I am totally biased, but these girls are so adorable. We are one set of lucky parents to be chosen for these two sweet cuties.

We have GRASS!! Part 1

The next step in our back yard remodel was to redo the grass. Dave first killed off the existing grass, basically he just stopped watering it sometime in July and let the sun do the rest. Then Dave rented a rototiller to dig up and prep the yard. Thankfully Sean came over for the afternoon to help.

My sweet, smart, spirited girl is four years old. Here is a few things about Claire. She still loves pink and the brighter the better. If it has sparkles on it she is in love. Claire weighs 36 pounds, is 41 inches tall and wears size 5t.

SOCCER!!

 We  I signed Claire up for soccer a few weeks ago and she was super excited. I think she was mostly excited about the new soccer shoes and cleats she got to wear. She picked them out herself. Dave tried to tell her that her socks fold over the shin guards, but she wouldn't have it. "No one can see the pretty color" she said. 

Thankfully a couple friends from school also signed up, as she wasn't too sure once we got there. Claire stuck with them like glue at first. It took her a bit to warm up to the whole idea, but after awhile she really got into it. Who knows if she'll stick with it but for now we have a football player in the house.

1st day of Preschool (4's class)

Its September and that means back to school. Claire was very excited to being going back, but now she's in the "big kids class". Same room, same teacher (thankfully), same friends (plus a whole bunch of new ones) just three days a week instead of two. She was so excited that morning. She wouldn't hold still long enough to look at the camera and these were the good ones.

This after school and the complete meltdown she had upon coming home. It must have a bit overstimulating and exhausting as she rarely naps anymore.

Laureli has been showing interest in food for a few weeks now. So far we've tried avocado, banana, sweet potatoes and watermelon.... all good traditional first foods for babies and she doesn't like any of them. What does she like you ask? Clam chowder and pita bread. Go figure!
